Thief Breaks In Through Window, Steals 65-Inch TV, Fur Coats: Oak Park Police

A suspect entered a home at the 1000 block of West Washington Boulevard between Friday and Saturday, taking two large TVs and two fur coats.

OAK PARK, IL — Between Thursday, June 8, and Friday, June 9, an unidentified person(s) broke the window of the back door of a home on the 1000 block of West Washington Boulevard in Oak Park. Once the window was broken, the suspect(s) unlocked the door and entered the home, removing several items, according to police.

Police said the suspect(s) stole a 65-inch Sony television, a 45-inch Sony television, an XBox video game system and a Playstation console. The offender(s) also reportedly made off with a box of jewelry, a black fur coat and a purple fur coat before fleeing the scene. Police said the burglary took place between 6 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The total loss is estimated at approximately $5,000, according to police.
