ALERT: Police warn Garage Burglaries
Bucktown – Logan Square – 14th District Residents
A 14th District Community Alert Warning has been issued due to a number of recent garage break-ins. Items stolen included mostly hand and power tools. There was a cluster of robberies between April 2 and 10th according to the police.
The locations included:
- 2800 block of N. Dawson Ave. on April 2.
- 3000 block of N. Allen Ave. on April 7.
- 2900 block of N. Gresham Ave. on April 10.
Please remember to Lock your garage and install an Emergency Release Lock or Shield so a burglar can not access your emergency release by using a coat hanger to reach inside the top of the garage door and pop the emergency latch, freeing the door to slide open manually.
