Oak Park Residential Robberies Alert!- April 2018

1100 block of Lombard Ave (April 4, 2018):

According to PATCH.com, Oak Park robberies included one in the 1100 block of Lombard Ave. The burglar robbed and assaulted a woman as she entered the back door of her garage. He stole cash and jewelry from her handbag and then ransacked her home. Luckily, she was not injured.

Please install an alarm system including your garage. In a situation like this, the alarm would have been sounding and this burglar would have most likely fled before this ever could have happened!  100 block of Elmwood Ave (April 11, 2018):

According to Patch, the burglar entered through an unlocked garage service door and made away with three bikes estimated at $1500.

 900 block of S. Oak Park Ave. (April 10, 2018):

An unlocked car was burglarized. The thief got away with a wallet, cash, credit cards and a checkbook.
