CHICAGO, IL — A 12-year-old boy is accused of committing multiple armed robberies earlier this month along North Larrabee Street, according to Chicago police.
The boy was taken into custody by police and charged Tuesday with a single count of armed robbery with a firearm.
The arrest stems from a series of armed robberies that happened from 8 to 9:30 p.m. over three nights, Sept. 14, 15 and 19 — in the 700 to 900 blocks of North Larrabee Avenue, police say. During these robberies, the boy allegedly approached his victims — men and women who ranged in age from 24 to 58 years old — flashed a gun and demanded what they had, according to police.
No one was hurt during any of these incidents, and police did not say how many robberies the boy is accused of committing.
