Oak Park Home Robbed of $20K Worth of Valuables: Cops

The incident took place late last week.

Oak Park residents living in the 500 block of North Ridgeland Avenue were robbed of almost $20K worth of valuables late last week, according to police reports.

Sometime between 9 a.m. and 3:05 p.m. Jan. 19, someone, or several people, used a pry tool to force open the back door of the home. They proceeded to ransack the house’s bedrooms, kitchen and basement, police said.

Among the stolen items were three laptops, keys, several pieces of jewelry, a duffel bag and an X-Box. The total loss is estimated to be $19,640.
