South American Theft Group targeting American Homes with Cellular Jammers
Homes across the Houston area have been targeted by the South American Theft Group using signal jammers and counter-surveillance tactics to evade security systems. The suspects steel high value items including designer hand-bags and jewelry.
Security cameras were re-positioned and signal jammers were deployed while stolen property is carried away in backpacks or pillowcases.
The South American Theft Group is also under investigation in several other states across the nation including California, Florida, Wisconsin and New York and may be part of a broader nationwide operation.
